RAG stands for Retrieval-Augmented Generation. Instead of relying purely on a pre-trained AI model's memory, RAG first searches through your uploaded documents to find relevant information, then uses that as context when generating a response. This means answers are accurate, up-to-date, and grounded in your actual content — not guesswork.
Currently, users can upload PDFs, plain text files, and Word documents. The system chunks, embeds, and indexes all content automatically. In future versions, we plan to support website scraping and spreadsheet uploads as well.
No — that's the key advantage of RAG. If the answer isn't in the uploaded knowledge base, the persona says so clearly rather than inventing a response. users can configure how the AI persona handles out-of-scope questions, such as directing users to contact support.
